MEMBERSHIP

The United States Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary is under the purview of the Department of Homeland Security. Membership is open to any U.S. citizen with a minimum age of seventeen who can pass a personal security  investigation.  A "new member" exam is administered to insure that the applicant is familiar with the Auxiliary mission and policies.
